LIMBO is an unusual adventure game in the horror genre. The participant finds himself in a world that is full of strange events, unanswered riddles and frightening monsters. The main character is a boy who is busy searching for his sister. During the game, the character periodically makes mistakes, which leads to his death. The creators refused to use bright colors, thanks to which the project acquired the aura of a “Catholic limbo” – a place where souls who failed to get to Heaven stay.
In the game LIMBO for Android, the participant constantly sees a monochrome forest, illuminated by stingy sunbeams, barely breaking through the damp fog and crowns of mysterious and gloomy giant trees. Making his way through the thicket, he has to avoid numerous traps, hide from the invasion of monsters, solve logical problems – and all this to find his missing sister.
The horror is distinguished by a special atmosphere and magnetism, captivating from the first minute. The visuals are a paradoxical synthesis of careful rendering of the smallest details and a gloomy oppressive atmosphere. The sound deserves special mention – viscous and calm background music, an abundance of various sounds accompanying the hero during the passage.
