In the game Rusty Lake: Roots, events unfold on an abandoned cattle farm, where the happy childhood years of James Vanderboom passed. The ranch has a very deplorable appearance, as no one has been caring for or looking after it for a long time. Once fertile lands pleased with a rich harvest, but now they are overgrown with lush weeds. The luxurious and majestic mansion looks miserable and abandoned. The main character comes up with the idea to restore his estate to its former beauty and grandeur – to restore the house and put things in order on the lands and in the garden. But something went wrong. The planted seeds of fruit trees gave excellent shoots, unexpectedly changing the surrounding space beyond recognition.
The project is able to attract the attention of fans of the logical genre from the very first minutes. Users are immediately enveloped by the mysterious and stylish atmosphere of a space with unusual outlines, full of fascinating and unusual events. And the actions of the participants in all these events are illogical and defy any explanation. The development of the game plot occurs episodically. On the screen, with constant regularity, space and time change beyond recognition, new bright characters appear, and the narrative is enriched with missing links and interesting elements.
All acting heroes are relatives, perhaps not close ones, but belong to the same ancient family. You have to live the lives of all the characters of the project in a new way, revealing their past, experiencing together with them their sorrows, joys and worldly dramas. It is also interesting that the puzzles are built according to the principle of a family tree. At first, you can easily get confused in the difficult characters of many heroes, but over time you will learn to understand their illogical, sometimes ugly actions, and accept their strange actions.
