In the game Cover Fire for Android, events unfold in a state where an enclave of military dictatorship and terror has formed. In the role of enemies are well-armed, but not very experienced infantrymen, controlled by artificial intelligence. The participant will have to fight against the backdrop of urban and forest landscapes, railways and stations, wild jungles and hot deserts.
There is no free movement mode in the action and there is no possibility to choose a suitable location. The gameplay begins with the fact that the main character is placed in the original place. He is in safe hiding. The character gradually moves across the map, passing various obstacles and destroying enemies. If everything goes well, he gradually reaches the end of the level. The ability to shoot accurately affects not only the duration of the mission, but also the acquisition of additional skills and achievements. Each level has its own set of tasks, as the player completes them, he gains bonuses. Rewards and achievements are available after destroying enemy communications and facilities or killing opponents.
Initially, the hero has a certain amount of health. It allows the sniper to withstand 5-10 wounds. But you can not restore this indicator in the process of passing. If opponents hit often, the hero will fail his mission and die. To kill an opponent on the spot, you need to shoot in the head. A hit in the arm or leg deals low damage and gives the enemy an opportunity to destroy the sniper. Sometimes it’s better to hide and wait. But keep in mind that some objects can be destroyed. For example, wooden shelters or cars do not provide reliable protection.
As you progress through Cover Fire, more than twenty new heroes are unlocked. All characters can be divided into two main groups: shooters and foot soldiers. The latter must move from place to place, performing certain tasks. The sniper ensures the safety of colleagues while in cover. In practice, the difference between the characters is negligible, since representatives of both classes cannot freely move around the map.
The system automatically improves the weapons and abilities of the heroes. The player can upgrade soldiers if he chooses cards with bonuses. They are issued after the successful completion of the level. Pumping allows you to increase the damage inflicted on enemies and reduce the reload time. This has a significant advantage, as the sniper is low on ammo.
